Dialog in the language of photography
This cultural initiative is an unprecedented experience for a dialogue, that makes Armenia a crossroad for cooperation while demonstrating the best works of contemporary art expressing human values.
«Photo exhibition- Fresco 2016»
Within the frames of Fresco International Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual-Moral films were held two big photo exhibitions which were unique both by the theme and by the chosen authors themselves: Ghevond Vardapet Hovhannisyan, abbot of the monastery of the Holy Archangel Church of Jerusalem and famous Israeli photographer Dmitry Brickman.
On August 23, the abbot of the monastery of the Holy Archangel Church of Jerusalem, candidate of theological sciences Ghevond Vardapet Hovhannisyan presented his photos of "Armenian Jerusalem". The abbot of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, who is also an active blogger, as a rule, takes photos not on a photo camera but on his phone. So, the master class “Iphoneography” held by a well-known priest both in in the virtual world and in society was about this topic.
The photexhibition of an Israeli photographer Dmitry Brickman was also a remarkable event. The famous photographer presented the photo exhibition entitled "The Eyes of Armenia through the Eyes of an Israeli" where were his photos made in 2015 during his visit to Armenia.
"And what could I do, if not to present a photo history “The Eyes of Armenia", if I sank in these eyes," says the photographer. Visitors also had the opportunity to participate in a master class of Brickman “Photo:To see the seen”, where he presented small but important secrets of how to distinguish a picture from a photo and how to get a good photo, and most importantly, explained how to see a person, a city, fate, silence, love, and to see what cannot be seen.

Within the frames of Fresco International Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual-Moral films was also held an international open-air photo exhibition "Faith without borders". Exhibitions were held near Swan Lake, Yerevan and at Harichavank Monastery, Shirak Region.
- Dmitry Brickman, a famous photographer from Israel presented his photo-album called “Jerusalem is not just a city” and for 4 days it was exhibited in the heart of Yerevan, near Swan Lake.
- Grigor Epremyan’s photos, were done during the canonization ceremony of the victims of Armenian Genocide at Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. His photos were also open-air exhibited near Swan Lake.
- Tatevik Melkonyan presented her photos taken in Western Armenia in a photo-album entitled “Bowed sanctities of spiritual Armenia”, which was exhibited during the Fresco movie-camping at Harichavank Monastery.
