Tent movie camp, unique in its kind, is a new format to know our country. Choosing Armenia's important historical and cultural centers for screenings, the organizers offer participants to know monuments interacting with nature, with local residents. This year, the tent camp was held in 2 phases, which brought together about 180 participants.
Before the screenings, embroiderer Anahit Karapetyan shared her experiences with the participants. Kharberd orphanage children with special needs joined her.
Dariya Kortyukh visited Armenia from St. Petersburg. Dariya’s talent and amazing work, sand painting under spiritual music, did not leave anyone indifferent in Harichavank.
Fiction, documentary, feature-length and short films in various formats, videos were presented at this year's Fresco festival, denouncing wars, violence, national, religious and any other kind of discrimination, environmental disasters caused by human factors.
The first film screened at the movie camp was Israeli photographer Dmitry Brickman’s Prayer in Jerusalem. The film's main character speaks with God, and all this is accompanied by photos.
"Why with photos? Because the prayer in this case could be in a video. Photography is the only genre in the world, which gives a chance to see the visible. Whatever I created, I created not thinking, but feeling,” said Brickman.
Fresco Festival attaches great importance to the participation of special social groups and especially of persons with limited capabilities, who participate in all events of the festival, moreover, have been involved in virtually all organizational activities.
The audience chose the winners who were awarded clay fish statues made by the children of Nor Kharberd specialized orphanage.
The competition results were summed up in Echmiadzin, which is also symbolic for the festival participants.
